Our reader's reward ice cream social was a hit!

We began the ice cream social inside but the
weather improved so we went out!  The next Readers Reward
Ice Cream Social is Thursday, July 28th 1 to 2 pm.

Meet President Teddy Roosevelt! 10-4 on June 29th at Central Park- look for his tent!

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our National Parks with Teddy Roosevelt!

President Roosevelt will set up with his tent from 10 am to 4 pm in Central Park. Come meet him and ask questions about his camp, being President, his life and family.  
The Library Pages will be on hand to walk kids up to the park.  

Followed by Teddy Roosevelt Live! on stage at 7 pm.

New summer reading program schedules!

Meet GRANT! He's the summer's first READER OF THE WEEK!

Readers of the Week are drawn from the week's entries on Thursday afternoons.
 Kids can fill out one entry slip for every book they read or is read to them.

Some of the fun at the first week of the summer reading program- READY, set read!

Two of the first BRONZE MEDAL recipients!  They either read 10 hours or completed 10 BINGOS. WOW!
When they read 10 more they will get a SILVER MEDAL, 10 more after that GOLD! Plus reading point tickets.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Tuesdays

10-11 am INFANT LAPSIT- a time for infants and their caregivers to enjoy books, songs and fingerplays.  

9 am-3 pm Ready Set Read activities with Matt our VISTA Literacy coach & tutor.  The Library Pages will be there to assist Matt and Kathy with the entire summer reading program. Reading rewards and challenges are available.

6-7:30  TNT Teens (Tuesday Night Teens) in the Library meeting room 6:00-7:30.  We will have food and a workshop featuring the  following topics. We will use the library’s iPads (if you have one please bring it)  FREE! 6th grade and up. Lead by TAB members Begins June 21.

Wednesdays

10-11 am TODDLER RHYME TIME- a time for toddlers and their caregivers to enjoy board books, songs, movement and fingerplays.  

9 am-3 pm Ready Set Read activities with Matt our VISTA Literacy coach & tutor.  The Library Pages will be there to assist Matt and Kathy with the entire summer reading program. Reading rewards and challenges are available.

Books & Stars our weekly series of entertainment in parks around Northfield.  Wednesday evenings June 15- August 3. Click here for schedule. Reading rewards and challenges are available at Booker during Books & Stars.

Thursdays

10-11 am  PRESCHOOL STORYTIME is for children ages 4 and up. Come enjoy picture books, songs, fingerplays and movement.
