Twenty-six volunteers will begin planning the children's summer reading program!  Stay tuned for here for new details!

Library update

The Northfield Public Library will emerge from its construction cocoon this Saturday, May 7^th at 10 and everyone is invited to the Grand Re-Opening ceremonies beginning at 10 AM with a formal ribbon cutting.  In the meantime the library at City Hall and the 210 Washington site are closed as we move the remaining materials and shelves and to prepare the new space. The bookdrop is not available during this time, and so please keep your items until we open.

We will have new hours beginning May 9 with Sunday hours from 1-5 pm running through June 5.  New weekly hours are Monday through Thursday 9 am to 8 pm, Friday 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.  

Everyone is invited to celebrate the Library's GRAND RE-OPENING!

Saturday, May 7th beginning at 10 am!  The official speeches and ribbon cutting will get underway at 10.  Thanks to the Friends & Foundation of the library there will be on-going entertainment and a special appearance of Mo Willem's "Elephant & Piggie" characters!

Then Library Paging may be for you!
Here is the application. Or pick up one at the check out desk at the city hall library.
 It is due back at the library April 4th.

Spring training for Library Pages!

Is a program for kids who will be finishing 5th grade and up this spring. If you would like to volunteer to help create, prepare and present the summer reading program for kids from preschoolers to 5th grade then this is for you!

We will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays afterschool as soon as you can get to the LIBRARY 210 Washington Street until 5 starting Tuesday, May 10th through the June 2nd.  Applications will be available beginning March 14 at the library and online here.  They are due back April 3rd.

The summer reading program goes from June 13–Aug 12.
